Ajay Banga, an Indian-American businessman, is most likely to become the next President of the World Bank as the deadline for nominations expired with no alternative proposals. Banga, who served as the former chief of Mastercard Inc. and Vice Chairman at General Atlantic, is expected to replace the current president, David Malpass, who will step down in June.
